The Iran Freedom Foundation (IFF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational and charitable organization established to educate the public about the Islamic Republic of Iran and to promote freedom in the region.
Who We Are
The IFF is made up of American and Iranian scholars, professionals, philanthropists and human rights advocates who have joined together to support the rights of the Iranian people.
The IFF was incorporated February 3, 2005 in Delaware and began activities on February 15. The IFF offices are located at:
888 16th Street NW
Suite 800

Why the IFF is Needed
The Iranian regime has a track record of silencing opposition voices, inflicting human rights abuses and perpetuating an atmosphere of fear among the people - most of whom are eager for democratic change.
The regime has thwarted democratic efforts by manipulating the legal system. For example, in the February 2004 parliamentary elections, the government disqualified more than 2,500 reformist candidates in response to Iranians' overwhelming support for reformist candidates in prior elections. In the 2001 presidential election, most of Iran's young people - nearly 70% are under the age of 30 - voted for reformist candidate Mohammad Khatami. The President holds little legislative power in the Islamic Republic, however, and Iranians soon became disillusioned with his inability to effect lasting democratic change. As a result, voter turnout in the 2004 elections was the lowest since the Islamic Revolution of 1979, and the government had to bus residents to polling places to increase participation.
Political power in Iran is vested in a small number of unelected clerics. The Supreme Leader and his Guardian Council frequently use their veto power to subvert the legal system, particularly in cases involving human rights. When Iranians try to speak out, the government responds with brutality - arresting opposition journalists and web loggers, dismantling their web sites and jailing and torturing political dissidents. They also subject the people to a relentless stream of propaganda intended to arouse hatred of the mullahs' primary enemies: America and Israel.
Iranians are a resilient people - but they are scared, and with good reason. As the oppressive regime continues to prevent Iranians from legitimately and publicly expressing their discontent, and as the mullahs seek to obtain nuclear weapons, the need for international support of Iranians' struggle for freedom has become paramount.
Goals and Tactics
The IFF will disseminate accurate news and information about Iran to foster a positive relationship between Americans and Iranians. The IFF will also work to create a national grassroots movement in America by encouraging citizens to become informed, organize and speak out about the danger of an atomic Iran.
The IFF will support opposition groups forming in Iran to promote change through peaceful demonstrations, including a systematic boycott of Iran's June 17 presidential election.
Please see our action plan for further details.
Atomic Iran
The IFF derives important documentation and direction from Dr. Jerome R. Corsi's book, Atomic Iran: How the Terrorist Regime Bought the Bomb and American Politicians. (WND Books, an Imprint of Cumberland House Publishing, Inc., publication date March 22, 2005). Dr. Corsi is a principle founder of the IFF and will serve as a primary spokesperson for the organization. Dr. Corsi is also the co-author of the New York Times #1 bestseller Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry.
