Mr. Tichenor sold his family's Hispanic Broadcasting Corp. to Univision Communications n September 2003, giving the Spanish-language media giant the radio division it lacked. The company said Mr. Tichenor will remain on the company's board of directors and that a search for his successor as president will start now. Day-to-day operations will continue to be run by Chief Operating Officer Gary Stone. The Hispanic radio market has heated up with the entry of Univision and the decision by Clear Channel to convert 25 stations to a variety of Spanish-language formats by 2006. The acquisition of Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation made Univision Radio the biggest Spanish-language braodcaster, with about 10 million weekly listners and 68 radio stations in 17 of the top 25 U.S. Hispanic markets. <br>
