Excellent analysis. And it makes it all the more suspicious that they suppress this information at SC.

Excellent analysis. And it makes it all the more suspicious that they suppress this information at SC. Actually, I haven't really noticed references to PNAC at SC getting molested per se. I mention them all the time there, as do others. The distinction you probably meant to highlight is the PNAC Jewish factor-- aka, the pink elephant wearing a skull cap in the room which is outside of the realm of controlled "librul" dialog at SC. In the search window near the upper right corner of the SC homepage, do a search for "PNAC" and see that Smirky reprints many articles referencing PNAC. But find one where the PNAC Jewish factor is scrutinized... For instance, you'll find this recent Bernard Weiner article reprinted: 'Horrid thoughts about horrid leaders', but, Weiner is "safe" for SC consumption because he doesn't touch the pink elephant, as you probably didn't notice in the "PNAC Primer" article above-- out of sight, out of mind.

Immediately after the Administration took office I started posting warnings about the dangers of the cabal: Wolfowitz and Perle because it was well known here in Washington, esp in intelligence and military circles, and I was harrangued by the usual suspects with personal insults that I was advancing conspiracy theories and I was an anti-semite, but all I was doing was passing on Washington insider information. They deliberately suppressed discussion of this until I guess it became official or something.

www.aei.org/news/newsID.16260/news_detail.asp MR. BARONE: Let me play devil's advocate and argue that ideas are in the saddle. After all, if you had told members of the 1992 Democratic National Convention that President Clinton was going to sign a bill terminating the federal right to welfare and that he was going to sign budget bills that were going to reduce in absolute dollars the amount spent on domestic discretionary programs, they would have said you were full of beans. The Republican Congress lost the battle of the sound bites but they won the policy argument to a significant extent. MS. CHENEY: But in a second term Clinton will rewrite the welfare bill, as the delegates at the Democratic convention were promised. MR. CASEY: There was a memorandum in mid-1995 from Stanley Greenberg to the President saying, if you want to get reelected you've got to become--are you ready for this?--a "cultural conservative." That advice cost about $5 million. I tried to tell him that for nothing in 1992 and he wouldn't listen. But since that time, Clinton has moved hard right on every issue except abortion. He's gone hard left on abortion. Irving Kristol is absolutely right: The Democrats have a real identity crisis. Bill Clinton is as far away from Barney Frank and Pat Schroeder as Bob Dole is from Jack Kemp, but the press never talks about the Democratic debate. The Democrats may be able to squeeze one more election out of a reactive strategy as protectors of the elderly poor under Medicare--and I agree with that philosophically. But beyond that, the disintegration is going to continue. I see a whole new force emerging; if not a third party, certainly a third force. We could have a new configuration made up of middle-class voters, working-class families whose income is deteriorating, and churchgoers. Put them all together and you get 51 percent real fast. Change is coming in both parties. xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Looks & feel like the SC site, even with some old acquantance folks.
Just emailed B.Weiner if he still believes in the Admin only bumbling 9-11 or if he looked at all the evidence that points to PNAC/CIA-NSA/ISI/FEMA, (or Mossad, who needs not be mentioned because they're present in all the above).
Have a good colorful (alert, alert ! ;-)) weekend !
