I have been volunteering for the Dennis Kucinich campaign by making phone calls to people in Oregon and asking them to vote for Kucinich in the May 18 Oregon Primary. Kucinich recieved 12% of the vote and 4 delegates in the Colorado Primary. Voting for Kucinich in on of the remaining primaries or caucuses, and thereby helping him to get more delegates is the best way to influence the Democratic Party convention and get Kerry to take the strong positions on Universal Healthcare, and withdrawing from Iraq which Kerry needs to take in order to defeat Bush in November.

I was a Kucinich delegate at the Boulder County Convention last Saturday. Check this out: www.bouldercountydems.org/AsmCnvResults.htmlKucinich 51%, Kerry 49% in the County. We're not representative of greater CO but the peeps here gave the state a big push towards DK, and a consequent push on Kerry towards DK, at least we like to believe,

That's great!! It is encouraging to see him get that much of the vote. I hope the Democratic insiders take note that all is not well with their presumed nominee.

Kucinich came in second place to Kerry with 16.6 percent of the vote and eight out of the forty six delegates.

That is great!! (again). I am ashamed to say our state went overwhelmingly for the machine candidate, as usual.
How do you explain the difference? Is it timing? Are people becoming appalled at Kerry's positions?
