discussion of this Iranian president's bogus, Zionist media created "holocaust denial" meme is very interesting to watch at AIPAC-WhippedChimp... some folks are posting valuable alternate perspectives, and watching SC's resident AIPAC/ADL whips (cerwiller, sherimj to name a couple) MO in trying to keep the debate properly whipped is interesting to watch unfold. Cerwiller even launched the thread, since the matter couldn't be avoided as the Iran war propaganda ramps up, and his approach was to preemptively set the "right tone" with the choice of subject title. But the rub about the matter is, the Zionist Western media (AP & Co) has translated the Iranian preznit's message very differently than al Jazeera's translation... in a classic abuse of words and their meanings. She did, and her post summarizes all that Ahmadinejad was saying, instead of what the mainstream media shamefully and disingenuously twisted his comments into. That Israel was the creation of Britain, as an occupier in the Middle East, and European Ashkenazi Zionists. And since Europe helped to create this situation, it will have to take part in any solution to the Israel-Palestinean conflict. Ahmadinejad did comment about the Holocaust, too, but only noted that the Zionists' claim that 6 million Jews were killed, and not the Holocaust itself, was disputed by two people, can't remember their names offhand, who were imprisoned in Austria and Germany for questioning the official line. |

Yes, but more than that, Hertzl et al. orginally settled on a Jewish state in Africa, and I believe South America was also discussed as a location at one time. So Palestine was never a static location for Zionists when they debated where to locate Israel.
This is rich given the above.

Would the words he used translate into myth, legend, mythic, or legendary?
All four mean completely different things.
I too could say that the Republicans have created "a myth" or "a legend" that "Ronald Reagan defeated Soviet Communism" without denying that Soviet Communism did collapse, or that it did occur after "the Reagan Years." It only implies that the event has been transformed into "the stuff of legends" by Republican hype.
I too could say that America has created "a myth" called "the greatest generation" which is used to distort both the accomplishments of the generation that fought WWII into a canon of heroic virtue, without denying the events of WWII or the Depression actually happened, only to challenge how they have been interpreted.
Nowhere have I seen any transcript of the speech posted in its entirety so that it can be read and interpreted by the reader.
This is beginning to look more and more like "the two-minute hate" from George Orwell's 1984.
The object of hate is hoisted up to be mocked and derided, and his words are shouted down, so no one can hear what is actually being said.

And even if transcripts of news programs, that I have seen myself -- which, when discussing the Holocaust, only mention Jewish victims, but never other groups of people that met the same fate -- were posted, this shill would still deny it and try to weasel out of it by saying they were merely expressing a "belief." The Nazis came for the Communists and Socialists first.
