I sometimes call in to the "liberal" radio shows out of Seattle. The claim of most of them is that they are "cutting edge". and trying to inform people about the truth of things. I do believe that they mean what they say, however, when I question very basic assumptions about the social organisation of the "system", most fall back to a centerist position. They hope that the courts will check the excesses of corporations. They hope that the war will be seen as a fraud, and that the people will end it out of a sense of justice. They are willing to accept that the dems are not perfect, but we must be realistic and take what we can get. They get caught up in the complexities of how the system works and seem to avoid keeping it simple. A thief is a thief. A liar is a liar. I try now to stick to one single point at a time, trying not to wander all over the lot. My hope is that by showing a different point of analysis, I might move others to check out areas that they might not have otherwise. Keep it simple and hammer away with information, avoid personal attacks, avoid being diverted from the single point one is trying to assert. Given that between the environmental disasters we face, the nazi thugs preparing for the rapture, and a host of terrible possibilities coming down the track, this may not be much. But we all try to do the right thing, out of a sense of hope and love for what we all share that is good. To do nothing at all is to be insane, acting is good for all concerned.

What are these "liberal" shows ?
I don't think we have them here.
We do have Democracy Now on the Pacifica station, but that's it.

These are locally produced shows, attempting to be a counterweight to the straight out fascist blather of Limbaugh and the other slime that takes space on the public air-waves. They are daring enough to say out loud that the POTUS and his pals are lying, that perhaps something is rotten in Denmark. They reject I disagreeertions that the major parties are both mouthpieces for the same low lifes. It's something- they do have large market shares around the Puget Sound.

I found a radio station around San Francisco that laid out precisely how the neoconservatives were involved with attempts to claim African oil for themselves in great and precise detail. I think it might've been a very local socialist radio station. For anyone else in my physically proximate area, I'll try and find the call sign.
