Iran, true defender of Palestinians' rights: Kuwaiti analyst
Kuwait, April 15, IRNA
Iran-Palestine-Support
A Kuwaiti author and political analyst said here on Friday that Iran is among true defenders of the Palestinian nation's rights and ideals.
Speaking to IRNA, Ammar Taqi added, "Ever since its establishment in 1979 the Islamic Republic of Iran has been the staunch defender of the Palestinians' rights, and that has been an unalterable key point in Iran's foreign policy."
He said, "It is an established fact, confirmed by friends and enemies alike, that if such supports had not been rendered the situation would have been much more intolerable for Palestinians today."
He considered the three-day activities of the "International Conference on Holy Qods and Defense for Palestinians' Rights" in Tehran as a practical measure adopted by Iran in defense of the Palestinian nation's ideals.
The International Conference on Holy Qods and Defense for Palestinians' rights opened here on Friday afternoon in the presence of a large number of political and religious authorities from across the Islamic world.
The Kuwaiti author reiterated, "Beyond doubt, the strong support rendered by the Islamic Republic of Iran for the oppressed Palestinian nation accounts greatly for the pressure imposed by the United States against Tehran today."
Referring to the oppressor policies pursued by the Zionist regime against the Palestinian nation and other countries in the region, he reiterated, "The occupying regime of Holy Qods is pursuing its state sponsored policy of selected assassination of Palestinian
personalities, as well as the blind massacre of the Palestinian nation, destroying their residential houses, and construction of its apartheid wall."
The Kuwaiti analyst meanwhile referred to the expansionist policies pursued by Israel against various neighboring countries and hat regime's efforts aimed at destabilizing the entire Middle East region, as the most effective measures aimed at threatening peace and security in the region and the world.
He said that Israel's policies toward the Arab and Islamic ountries can be briefly described by 'divide and rule', adding, "Pursuing that objective, the Zionists have been launching lots of covert plots inside regional countries ever since their usurper regime's establishment.
Ammar Tariq added, "Unfortunately the efforts made by the Zionists aimed at sowing the seeds of discord and enmity among the Arab and Islamic countries and nations have born fruit as we see their results in Iraq today."
According to this analyst the Western powers by their silence in confrontation with these horrendous crimes practically encourage the leaders of the occupying regime of Holy Qods to continue committing them more fiercely and more brutally.
Emphasizing that the Zionist regime meanwhile tries to convince the West to keep the Islamic countries backward, he reiterated, "Israel's efforts in that respect are aimed at maintaining the balance of forces in the region in their own favor constantly and that is the reason why the Zionists are so enraged seeing Iran's advancement in its peaceful nuclear activities."
The Kuwaiti author referred to the so-called Middle East peace initiatives, arguing, "They will never lead to the establishment of lasting peace since they are imposed initiatives and the real and righteous demands of the Palestinians are entirely ignored in them." He reiterated, "Those peace initiatives are nothing but mirage since all they guarantee is the expansionist interests of the Zionists and therefore the only remaining way is to keep up the resistance against occupation."
Referring to the double-standard policies pursued by the United States in the region and the all-out support of the United States for the usurper Zionist regime, the Kuwaiti author said, "Washington shares all the horrendous crimes committed by the Zionists due to its strong and continuous support for Israel."
